Skint Adventure

We set out for this walk from Green Park Station to Kilburn Station on a slightly windy, slightly overcast summers day in the city. This is a great walk if you're keen to see some major London landmarks such as Hyde Park and Marble Arch and also get a flavour of some of the more eastern-influenced areas of this diverse city. We took advantage of the cooler summer weather to take a nice weekend walk from Brixton to Central London and saw some beautiful sights along the way. The current global pandemic has had a significant impact on our usual busy city of London, which meant that even the usual tourist spots were unusually quiet and uncrowded for a Saturday afternoon. This short (7.4km) walk took around 2 hours and is a lovely way to see some of South London's treasures. What to do on a mid-week day off when it's 34 degrees in the city? Well, go for a little walk of course. This short (2.3km) walk on London’s South Bank is a free and easy way to see some of the major tourist attractions whilst strolling along the lovely Thames River. So if you're strapped for cash but keen to see the city sights, this is definitely one I'd recommend.   We took on London’s Capital Ring Walk Section 5 on a sweltering hot day (34 degrees celcius) in the capital. This 9km walk from Streatham Common to Wimbledon Park is a great city walk featuring some beautiful and quiet residential streets, some cool little alleyways and 3 really large public parks: Tooting Bec Common Wandsworth Common Wimbledon Park The Capital Ring is a 176km (78mile) circular walking route across London. It is divided into 15 sections but it can be started at almost any point. The route stretches from Woolwich in the South East borough of Greenwich, to Becton District Park, in East London borough of Newham.
